When you create an account we store your email address and a display name. When you create heroes and stories, we store the choices, text, and images you generate. Story content is tied to your account and is not visible to other users.
Your story data is used to generate and display your adventures. We use your email to send account-related messages such as password resets and welcome emails. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Story text and illustrations are generated by AI models on our servers. The prompts include your hero profile and story choices so the output is personalized. Generated content is stored with your story and is not used to train models on your personal data.
Build A Story is suitable for children with appropriate reading-level and content-intensity settings. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without a parent's involvement. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your stories remain in your library for as long as your account is active. You can delete any story or hero at any time. Deleting your account removes your stories and personal data.
You can view, edit, and delete your data from your account at any time. You can export your story text. To request full data deletion, contact us.
